Orientation

Idea, then plan, then business.

This page restates the path used on the school’s announcements. It is not a blog of outside articles, and it is not a substitute for an accountant, a lawyer, or a mentor who knows your situation.

  1. Idea Say what you want to offer, who it is for, and why they would care. If you cannot say that yet, that is the work of the first conversations.
  2. Plan Write how the work would happen: what you need, who does it, and how money would come in and go out. A plan can be short. It has to be specific.
  3. Business A plan becomes a business only when someone is actually served. The school’s posters put marketing, growth, and other people on that road. They do not put a number on the result.
